Sales Development Specialist Overview

The Sales Development Specialist is responsible for generating and qualifying leads that drive opportunities for the strategic sales team. 

Sales Development Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with corporate marketing and sales teams to create sales opportunities by prospecting using phone calls, email and other tactics
  • Respond quickly to inbound sales leads that come from the website, email marketing campaigns, trade shows and other sources to qualify the lead and set introductory sales appointments
  • Continuously work to improve skill set and effectiveness by learning from teammates, mentors and outside resources

  Sales Development Specialist Requirements:
  • Bachelor’ s degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in a B2B sales
  • Experience working in a lead generation, collections or telesales environment
  • Strong understanding of  prospect needs and the ability to respond to those
  • Excellent written and documentation experience 
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Any knowledge of  software or financial services sales is highly preferred
