HR Generalist

Provide HR support for internal employees and external consultants of Resolution Technologies while partnering with leadership to broker HR services. You will actively engage in performance management, employee relations, staffing, benefits, compensation, compliance, organizational development and talent management. You will utilize your HR functional expertise to align critical human resources principles with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle processing of new hire paperwork. This may require early morning or late afternoon sessions outside of our standard operating hours.
  • For both internal and external work force, this person will administer employee benefits programs such as health, vision, and dental insurance; 401K Plan; vacation, sick, and bereavement leave; and FMLA
  • Point of contact and administrator for all insurance packages (employee and corporate).
  • Partner with Broker to manage open enrollment process including evaluating packages on a yearly basis
  • Audit insurance coverage and costs monthly
  • Manage and audit payroll on a bi-weekly basis, and coordinate compensation changes for internal employees and external consultants
  • Resolve and documents all employee relations issues for internal employees and external consultants
  • Assist in framing policies related to talent management, promotion, recruitment
  • Drive career development
  • Manage the performance management process for internal employees
  • Review and update employee handbook, manuals, at-will employment contract, policies and procedures, and other employee correspondence to ensure compliance to federal and state employment laws
  • Ensure that existing HR policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Identify HR legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and create/develop other employment-related forms, documentation, and policies as needed
  • Respond to benefits and HR-related inquiries from both employees and government agencies including unemployment claims, garnishments etc.
  • Recommend and coordinate training and development opportunities in collaboration with Director of Recruiting
  • Work collaboratively with managers on the hiring process for staffing internal needs including job posting, screening resumes, interviewing, selection process, pre-employment background and reference checks, employment verification, etc.
  • Direct, plan, schedule and oversee all university career fair and campus recruiting events. Update APT system (Bullhorn) to create pipeline of candidates to fulfill internal hiring needs.
  • Develop guidelines and provide training for a safe workplace and emergency preparedness plan
  • Some minor bookkeeping duties will be required – invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reimbursement when finance department is unavailable
  • Assist in marketing campaign for Resolution Technologies including print, online, as well as other marketing materials.
  • Schedule and coordinate company events. This may include booking travel, flights, hotels, and other aspects associated with the given event.
  • Candidates must be flexible enough to accept some duties necessary to physical office management of a small office (i.e. internal ordering/shipping/inventory, maintaining office supplies, scheduling office maintenance and/or scheduling internal interviews, etc.)

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Formatting resumes and assisting with client presentation
  • Inputting new jobs and client contacts into Bullhorn
  • Data entry functions – Loading word documents into Bullhorn
  • Creating word documents and companywide communication documents including client directions, benefits, etc.
  • Assist in marketing campaign for Resolution Technologies including print, online, as well as other marketing materials.
  • Initiate and coordinate candidate travel process: flight, hotel and transportation arrangements
  • Other office support duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4-year bachelor' s degree required, any concentration, specialization of advanced training/certifications in HR (PHR and/or SPHR) are a plus but not required
  • 2-4 years of HR and office management experience
  • Experience in HR administration and coordination is preferred. Experience in recruiting or staffing environment is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with QuickBooks (or any similar small-office accounting software package) is a plus but not required
  • Be detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain high level of confidentiality in all matters related to the position
  • Have solid knowledge of employment principles, procedures, laws, and regulations (HIPAA)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Forward thinking, strategic, proactive, and adaptable management style
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Be able to pass a background check and drug screen
