IT Procurement Analyst

 

IT Procurement Analyst  Description:

We are seeking an energetic, highly skilled self-starters who thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. for the role of IT Procurement Analyst.

 

This position will report directly to the Director of IT Procurement and will be responsible for the following duties.  

 

Position Profile:

Procurement role that will manage technology requests and handle lower to moderate risk level procurement projects worldwide through standard operating procedures, as well as engage as the liaison between the technology teams and finance.

 

 

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Receive technology requests, prepare and collect intake sheets
  • Incorporate all pertinent details into the Work in Process report.
  • Track all activities performed around each procurement project
  • Conduct first level bids and negotiations incorporating company required commercial terms with suppliers
  • Identify savings opportunities and risks, work with management team to optimize savings and mitigate risk
  • Ensure all new vendors are screened, provide required documentation, and are submitted for set up with the Accounting team
  • Initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationship with the IT team members
  • Support managing major projects in execution, project management, and maintain compliance with procurement policies and Business Code of Conduct
  • Assisting in CAPEX and OPEX budget planning, facilitation and maintenance.

 

Key Result Areas:

 
  • Work on new and ongoing supplier engagement projects: immediately.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies: 30 days.
  • Obtain savings via negotiation and use of TCO or TVA: 30 days after hire.
  • Build positive partnerships with business units: ongoing.

  

Qualifications

 
  • Must be able to read, understand, and be able to redline contractual language
  • Should have strong negotiation skills to ensure company templates are used or has the ability to incorporate required commercial terms, pricing, and performance via redlines for instances where supplier contract is required.   
  • Proven ability to develop relationships internally and externally at the strategic level
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups, providing them training, guidance, and support.
  • Solid knowledge of IT-industry in general including global software, hardware, professional service, and telecom/network services
  • The candidate must have experience interacting at the strategic level with major technology suppliers e.g. Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce, IBM, and telecom service providers e.g. Verizon and Level 3.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills are required as well as close attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are also needed.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’ s degree from an accredited university in the area of supply chain or relevant technology study.
