Direct Perm: $120-140k

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Automation of routine tasks through ServiceNow including design, creation and administration of key components such as:
  • Forms
  • Workflows
  • Catalog Items
  • Metrics
  • Service Level Agreements
  • Reports
  • Dashboard
  • Actively participates in the requirements definitions with internal company leaders and Program Manager
  • Articulate and mediate tradeoffs related to scalability, manageability, testability, security, maintainability, usability, functionality, cost, and time
  • Combine business knowledge and analytic insight with programming skills to develop applications to meet specific business requirements
  • Complete job responsibilities utilizing release and change management processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools
  • Creation / modification of ServiceNow tables and/or views as necessary
  • Develop and document best practice approaches and reusable assets
  • Develop and manage scripts, other ServiceNow platform customizations
  • Document technical architectures that could are clearly understood by Company stakeholders
  • Load, transform and maintain data interfaces between ServiceNow and other systems
  • Monitor logs, performance and overall health of ServiceNow instances
  • Provide detailed architecture analysis and design, and direction on the development activities
  • Complete adherence to coding and quality standards
  • Remain abreast of industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.
  • Researches and deploys new releases, applications and enhancements into the ServiceNow environment
  • Write and maintain up-to-date documentation related to the application administration and configuration

Computer & Technical Competencies
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow database architecture
  • Experience supporting web-based applications
  • Experience (3-5 years) developing applications utilizing JavaScript or GlideScript
  • Experience Implementing and maintaining ITSM Tools
  • Experience with web UI development technologies that include HTML5, CSS3, and AJAX
  • Experience with Incident Management, Service Request Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration Management and other ITIL process areas
  • Experience using web services for systems integration (SOAP and/or REST)
  • Experience working closely with SME’ s, project managers, and process owners to capture business requirements
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and Software as a Service (SaaS) architecture
  • Knowledge of relational databases
  • Knowledge of IT service management and the ITIL service operations and transition processes
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Knowledge of Identity Management / Authentication approaches / integrations (LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, OpenID)
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management tools / integrations (SCCM, Puppet, Chef)
  • Knowledge of Operations Management tools / integrations (Server Monitoring Software SCOM, SolarWinds)
  • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’ s degree or 3 to 5 years progressive work experience
  • ITIL Foundations Certification or existing knowledge, experience and/or training to enable attainment of certification within 90 days
  • ServiceNow Administrator Certification or existing knowledge, experience and/or training to enable attainment of certification within 90 days
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification or existing knowledge, experience and/or training to enable attainment of certification within 90 days
