Senior Technical Writer - PCI Compliance

We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer with expertise in PCI-related projects within a technology context to join our dynamic Information Technology team at Resolution Technologies. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our PCI compliance efforts are well-documented, efficient, and align with the highest security standards.

***This role will be primarily onsite 4 days per week***

Senior Technical Writer - PCI Compliance Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Writing:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive and clear technical documentation related to PCI compliance and security standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical information and translate it into accessible documentation for various audiences.
  2. PCI Documentation:
    • Lead the creation and maintenance of PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) documentation.
    • Ensure that all PCI-related documentation adheres to industry best practices and compliance requirements.
  3. Compliance:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in PCI compliance regulations and other relevant standards.
    • Work closely with compliance officers to ensure our technology solutions align with regulatory requirements.
  4. Security Standards:
    • Assist in developing, documenting, and implementing security standards and best practices across the organization.
    • Collaborate with security teams to ensure that PCI compliance aligns with the company's broader security strategy.
  5. Information Technology:
    • Possess a strong understanding of information technology concepts, including network architecture, encryption, access controls, and data protection.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance to IT teams regarding PCI compliance and security documentation.
Senior Technical Writer - PCI Compliance Additional Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a technical writer in PCI compliance within the financial services industry.
  • Proved experience in Information Security policy development, technical writing, creation of manuals and/or online materials, and a deep understanding of Information Security, Compliance, Governance, and Audit principles. 
  • Strong familiarity with PCI DSS and other relevant compliance standards.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable content.
  • Proficiency in document management tools and version control systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of risk management and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are preferred.
Senior Technical Writer - PCI Compliance Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working in a Fortune 100 financial services organization.
  • Familiarity with the financial industry's specific security challenges and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with documenting complex technical processes and procedures.
