Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator with specialized expertise in GoldenGate to join our dynamic IT Infrastructure team in the Financial Services vertical. This role is crucial in maintaining the stability, performance, and reliability of our Oracle databases within a complex architecture. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge of the latest Oracle database versions, advanced skills in GoldenGate, and a track record of successful database upgrades, migrations, and large-scale replication implementations.

Sr. Oracle GoldenGate DBA Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and manage Oracle databases, including GoldenGate, within a complex enterprise environment, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
- Design, implement, and maintain GoldenGate configurations to enable seamless data replication between databases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database and GoldenGate performance issues, implementing solutions to optimize performance and ensure minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions that align with business needs and security standards.
- Lead efforts to upgrade and migrate Oracle databases to newer versions, ensuring compatibility with existing applications and data.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Oracle databases and GoldenGate, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures, best practices, and technical documentation related to database configurations, GoldenGate setups, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with external vendors and technical support to resolve critical issues and implement enhancements.
- Act as a high-level point of escalation for database-related incidents, managing and resolving complex problems in a timely manner.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator in a Fortune 1000 enterprise, professional services, or comparable environment.
- Expertise in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, and high availability.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.
- Proven experience in configuring GoldenGate for large-scale data replication in a complex architecture.
- Extensive experience with Oracle database upgrades, migrations, and patching processes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) to automate database tasks and monitor system health.
- Strong understanding of peripheral technologies such as RAC, Data Guard, and Exadata.
- Familiarity with database-related technologies such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN, ASM, and Cloud Control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
- Leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior team members and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
