Job Description
Data Analyst Job Summary:
As a Data Analyst, you will work in the Compliance Team. The role will provide daily support for Data Discovery, helping the IT Compliance team with data classification and reporting requests, and maintain the processes, data, and configuration to enable the company to meet its privacy obligations. The role will report directly to the Manager of Compliance and is integral in ensuring the automation of their privacy practices.
Data Analyst Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage the Data Discovery system, acting as a subject expert
- Collate, update, and review data sources and processes
- Maintain and update all data classification templates
- Ensure appropriate assessments are issued on time and support the business with completing data source scans.
- Generate reports on the data held within Data Discovery.
- Data Source management, including onboarding, permissions, and troubleshooting.
Data Analyst Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Self-motivated team player who is solutions orientated and can motivate others to meet deadlines and move tasks forward
- A strong communicator with excellent organizational skills and with the ability to work with minimum supervision
- Able to communicate and collaborate with all personnel across the business including senior management
- Able to focus on the smaller details whilst retaining awareness of the bigger picture
- An interest in data and how new regulations are shaping how companies collect and use personal data
Data Analyst Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent GED)
- 6 months of experience with Microsoft Excel
- 6 months of experience running reports
Data Analyst Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Data Discovery (or similar);
- Degree in Computer Science
- Experience providing Database support and troubleshooting
