Resolution Technologies is seeking a hands-on Systems Architect as part of the Global Systems Engineering Team focusing on design and build of systems and subsystems, and the environmental design and implementations for infrastructures and platforms through automation. The Systems Architect is responsible for building and ensuring that these implementations are built to meet the standards, performance, scalability, and technical requirements.
The Systems Architect will play an integral part of the velocity of major systems and development projects.
IT Systems Architect Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform system’s design and build for Linux, AWS implementations, and administration
- Perform system’s design and build for an array of industry standard technologies for cloud and on-prem databases, message queues, and middleware
- Design OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters using best practices and implementations
- Evaluate software system’s design and implementations that impact the performance and reliability of network, disk, and memory congestion
- Document system-level standards and requirements for technology platforms for both on-prem and cloud infrastructures
- Advise, consult with, and support project teams on a broad range of system designs and aligning expectations with standards into documented artifacts
- Document reusable system design patterns, standards and configurations aligned to enterprise requirements
- Design and develop Terraform modules, and build the infrastructure platforms through enterprise standards and practices.
- Provide in-depth and deep knowledge of distributed systems design, including the principles of election algorithms, clocks, drift, and methods that maintain high-availability and scalability for platforms like Redis, Kubernetes, Kafka, and NATs.io.
- Review and consult with development teams on software-systems design as it relates to the technology delivery platform. (e.g., Kubernetes, Lambda, Microservice and Monolithic services, Java, and DotNet).
IT Systems Architect Minimum Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related subject or 8 years’ experience in infrastructure, software and systems design
- Must possess a broad understanding of technology and is able to provide in-depth technical requirements to business opportunities
- Experience building technology platforms within on-prem and cloud infrastructures
- Current understanding of best practices regarding system and software systems designs
- Strong Linux systems design, and build configuration experience for AWS and on-prem
- Strong Terraform development to build and configure On-prem / AWS / Azure resources
- Strong automation using GitLab Pipelines with Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible
- Strong data streaming technologies design using Kafka, AMQ, NATs.io
- Strong Kubernetes design, ideally Mulesoft and OpenShift
