LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Our client who is a global leader in Contact Center platforms and solutions is currently seeking a dynamic individual with high energy and drive to join their Work Force Management (WFM) software development team as a Lead Software Engineer. This engineer will primarily focus on the development of server-side component design, development, testing and implementation. Experience with client-side development is a plus. This engineer will work in agile development environment and follow the agile processes and practices.

LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and develop quality, proficient and well documented technical solutions that satisfy business requirements and meets corporate architectural standards
  • Develop solid unit, integration, and automation tests according to organizational standards
  • Assist in troubleshooting and maintenance of existing software applications; identify and implement additional improvements when warranted; work with external stakeholders as needed
  • Develop in AWS Cloud
  • Develop technical models / design for assigned components
  • Work in linear programming and in collaboration with Operational Research team to implement algorithms
  • Contribute to and drive technological and architectural decisions
  • Participate in reviewing design and code for other team members
  • Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques
  • Function as a subject matter expert in multiple product components
  • Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams
  • Adhere to agile development principles while following and improving all aspects of the SCRUM process
LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of Java application development experience
  • 2+ years designing software systems in Java
  • 1+ year experience in AWS
  • Expertise in server-side development using Hibernate, Spring, Web Services (REST) in Java including server-side testing using JUnit, Mockito/EasyMock
  • Hands on experience with Continuous Integration and Test-Driven Development.
  • Good knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Prior experience with Maven and Jenkins
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related
LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with techniques for solving optimization problems such as constraint programming, dynamic programming, linear and mixed integer programming
  • Operations research algorithms implementation experience a plus
  • Workforce management scheduling software development experience
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-tier web application development 
  • Experience with performance testing a plus
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related
