Operations Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in a dynamic work environment that supports a cohesive, effective team across multiple functional areas.  Develop and mentor staff by employing positive and motivating strategies to promote team growth and success.
  • Collaborate with leadership and other members of the division to ensure program goals are met.  Research and assist with the implementation of new initiatives and strategies and other special projects and deliverables.  Monitor industry trends and best practices.
  • Ensure proper allocation of department resources to meet programs goals and objectives. Oversee day-to-day operations, including holder compliance, claims processing, holder reporting, accounts receivables, payables and securities.  
  • Compile and review performance data, including financial and activity reports, to monitor and measure departmental productivity and identify process improvement opportunities. Assist with the compilation of monthly reports for the division.
  • Audit and approve high dollar cash and securities-related claims prior to payment. Research and analyze questionable claims documentation received to ensure proper claim payment. Monitor and track any instances of potential consumer fraud. 
  • Provide oversight of the custodial account for securities. Review and approve all securities registration and sale requests as well as the annual securities sale.  
  • Assist with and collaborate on solutions to highly complex and/or escalated customer inquiries. 

Operations Manager Minimum and Additional Requirements:

A bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, public administration, finance, accounting, management, or related field and at least three (3) years of progressively responsible supervisory experience managing a program or organization.
