Senior Accounts Payable Analyst Job Description:
Work with Accounts Payable team to develop continuous process improvements, procedure documentation, and reports. Perform compliance activities such as Accounts Payable Reconciliation, SAP upgrade and reporting, and anti-fraud controls. Promote and maintain positive client relations to ensure compliance with company policy and procedure. Serves as lead point of contact in troubleshooting system and procedural issues, supporting the Accounts Payable team to find solutions while maintaining operational standards.
Senior Accounts Payable Analyst Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics emphasis or the equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
Enters invoices for one entity, reviews coding and audit for flags.
Creates, maintains, and distributes reports including but not limited to AP Vendor Aging, Invoice Workflow Status, Timely Payment, and Accuracy. Supports Accounts Payable management with the creation and monitoring of key metric reports to ensure team effectiveness and accountability.
Performs compliance activities such as Accounts Payable Reconciliation to the General Ledger, user testing for SAP upgrades and new solutions, 1099 reporting, information management and record clean-up initiatives, Accounts Payable related policy analysis, Positive Pay and other anti-fraud controls with the bank. Compliance work with the Supply Management and Vendor Master Management to increase visibility of policy compliance and procedural issues. Creates and updates procedure documentation that is organized in SharePoint for the Accounts Payable team. Performs periodic audits of invoices, employee expenses and cash disbursements; and provides monthly findings and recommended corrective actions.
Provides support and guidance to Accounts Payable staff to ensure proper completion, and tracking of tasks, deliverables, and deadlines set by Accounts Payable management. Partners with the business and other shared service departments to gather, analyze, and forecast any impacts on incoming volumes. Promotes continuous improvements by analyzing errors/issues to identify the root causes and develop mechanisms to minimize or eliminate future issues.
Trains accounts payable specialists and builds the team.
