Sr. IT Project Manager (Infrastructure) Job Description
  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects in the Information Technology sector.
  • Facilitate the definition of project mission, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
  • Will manage Infrastructure, network, systems, and data center projects.  
  • Independently manage project scope, schedule, resources, status reporting, communication, costs, issues, risk mitigation, integration, and implementation.
  • Effectively communicate project status to stakeholders, and appropriately escalate issues to management attention.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties for flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget, and at the required level of quality.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Follow the project management guidelines, practices, and procedures.  Interprets business/customer needs and demands and translates into executable solutions for IT to implement
  • Works with financial leadership on annual IT budgets and forecasts
  • Helps evaluate IT project objectives and analyzes new business initiatives
  • Facilitates ideation through a defined innovation process and engages the “appropriate” stakeholders to support with assessment, prioritization and development of innovative technologies

Sr. IT Project Manager (Infrastructure) Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent relevant work experience

Sr. IT Project Manager (Infrastructure) Experience
  • 8+ years’ experience in the information technology sector.
  • 5 to 10 years project management experience in the information technology sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Systems, other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Agile/SCRUM or Project Management Institute PMP Certification

Sr. IT Project Manager (Infrastructure) Technical Skills
  • Strong IT Infrastructure Project Management experience

Sr. IT Project Manager (Infrastructure) Soft / Behavior Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organizational structure
  • Ability to listen, and build rapport and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the business unit, as well as with leadership and functional teams
  • Ability to map joint organizational vision and long-term thinking, imagination, and idea generation
  • Ability to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
  • Strong leadership, business, technical, analytical, problem solving and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of successful team leadership and development
  • Ability to balance what is “right” with what is “realistic”
  • Ability to stay focused on identified priorities
  • Ability to make decisions in situations of ambiguity and the absence of complete facts
  • Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people to balance demands
  • Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure
  • Ability to interface with all levels of clients and senior management
  • Effective at communicating complex concepts to IT and business organizations in a manner that is easy to understand
  • Customer-oriented approach in managing communications and issues
  • Ability to motivate staff to work effectively and deliver results in challenging and complex environments
  • Highly organized and able to manage time effectively
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing business environment and stakeholder priorities
