Sr. Oracle Database Lead DBA - (Database Architect)
Amazing opportunity to join one of our top clients as Senior Oracle Database Lead! This individual will be stepping into an open, collaborative environment and will have the opportunity to lead, mentor as well as apply their expertise to the DBA team.
Sr. Oracle Lead DBA Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the database architecture, engineering, and administration of all Oracle platforms including the installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migration, capacity planning, performance tuning, backup and recovery
- Utilizing network troubleshooting tools and techniques
- Responsible for database monitoring and applying resolutions to database issues
- Performance tuning and query optimization using PL/SQL
- Create and maintain documentation for database architecture
- Generate weekly, monthly reports
- Attend project kick-offs and design
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures
Sr. Oracle Lead DBA Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and/or equivalent experience
- At least 7 years database administration experience
- Hands on experience with Oracle (10g, 11g, 12c) and operating systems (UNIX, Linux)
- Experienced using RMAN with TSM and/or Netbackup, OEM Grid Control, ASM, UNIX/Linux Shell Script for database backup
- Extensive experience with Golden Gate
- Experience with DataGuard
- Strong skills in PL/SQL, PERL/Unix Shell, tuning and debugging
- Experience with Oracle database replication
- Proven ability to prioritize critical workload
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Hands on experience working with development and infrastructure teams in doing database design, changes and enhancement to new and existing applications.
- Experience supporting interfaces and back-end integration within applications
- Strong understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Must be with 24x7 on call rotation
Lead Oracle DBA Nice to Haves:
- Data modeling experience
- Experience supporting J2EE applications
- Knowledge of virtual environments
