Technical Planning Specialist Job Description:
Job Summary (Purpose of Job):
As subject matter expert on parts data analytics, parts technical, and marketing activities, this individual will support the field sales staff, customer service, and customers. The spare parts business in the heavy equipment industry continues to become more competitive. This position will ensure the client maintains a competitive edge in this market. By analyzing parts sales YOY, absorption, parts market share, machine operation data, etc., this individual will provide our sales staff with the data required to assist our dealers in gaining parts market share and growing their business.
Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities: Primary Job Responsibilities
- Provide performance analysis and recommendations based on telematics data.
- Market research via the Internet, dealer surveys, and other tools.
- Data analysis based on ConSite tools for major components, including undercarriage and hydraulic components.
- Perform market studies as required to optimize parts sales performance.
- Work with global teams to provide data analysis support.
- Work with the dealer to manage raw data of machines
- Analysis of telematic data for machine/component performance.
- Provide operational support to internal and external customers.
- Identify operational inefficiencies within the overall parts sales process and develop solutions for improvement
- Monitors parts market share through programs.
- Monitor dealer performance on specific marketing programs
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to create marketing content for Parts and Promotions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office, and proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of data analysis tools.
- Knowledge or Ability and desire to learn how to create reports and dashboards.
- Create reports by Power BI, etc.
- Analytical skills to summarize extensive data sets into reports and dashboards.
- Project a professional, courteous image to fellow employees, dealers, and end-users.
- Extensive technical/mechanical knowledge of construction equipment with primary experience in excavators and wheel loaders.
