We are searching for a VP of Accounting. The position will be under the general administrative direction of the Chief Accounting Officer (“CAO”), performing a range of statutory and professional duties involving a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, discretion, and independent judgment.
Vice President of Accounting Minimum Qualifications:

- Effectively lead the Accounting team, ensuring employee retention, performance, and development.
- Manage all accounting operations including GL, A/R (including Credit), A/P, Cash, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets
- Direct and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, improving existing processes.
- Create scalable business processes with an emphasis on internal controls and business process documentation, assuring that our Accounting & Control environment meets the highest public-company standards.
- Oversee preparation of financial statements.
- Implement strong reporting and processes around the Company’s operations.
- Research and apply technical accounting standards, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
- Work with internal and external team to improve SAP S4 performance.
- Writes, reviews, and distributes financial policy and procedure statements to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
- Analyzes department budgets, allocates operating budget and can lead cost reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate the annual audit with internal partners and external auditors.
- Oversee key admin areas such as insurance, leases, and contracts.
- Work closely with HR and payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing and reporting.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration
- CPA License, Public Accounting experience preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in progressive accounting roles, 5 years in a leadership position within a public company and experience working within cross-border advanced or technology manufacturing a plus
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement preparation (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows)
- Has experience in leading cost-cutting initiatives
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Flexible team player that enjoys hands on responsibilities, with a focus on process implementation & improvement
- Thorough understanding of ERP and accounting software, experience with SAP a plus
- Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (especially Excel).
- Ability to be proactive, a self-starter.
