Windows Application System Engineer (REMOTE)

This is a remote position requiring strong organizational and technical skills.  Person should be a self-starter and very responsible working non-traditional work hours.

Windows Application System Engineer Project Responsibilities:
This person will help support our existing application as we build out a new application over the next 12-18 months.  Our existing Joono specialist is located in the UK and our new Windows servers will be built in the Dallas and KC datacenters.  This person will remotely support the existing application servers and will work from 4 am - 1 pm EST supporting the UK. 

Windows Application System Engineer Required skills:
  • This role will be a Mid-level Windows application engineer with strong communication skills.
  • Windows 2012 build and upgrade to Windows 2022 and migration between data centers.
  • Windows 2012-Windows 2022
  • SQL Server
  • IIS
  • Knowledge of commands/utilities including but not limited to IIS, FTP, telnet, SMTP, POP, IMAP
  • The following certifications and/or education are a bonus: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MCP, MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, or comparable certification.
  • General knowledge of wide range of technology processes
  • Windows System admin experience with application migration experience
  • Strong IIS and SQL Server experience
  • For joono you would need Windows Server and IIS knowledge to be able to install and maintain the servers
  • Understanding of SQL and MS SQL Server database 
  • Solid troubleshooting issues and an ability to review and process data for log analysis
  • Being able to write simple scripts (Powershell or shell or comparable) to resolve issues would be a major plus
